Coastal Flood Advisory

... Coastal Flood Advisory in effect from 1 am to 11 am EDT
Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has
issued a coastal Flood Advisory... which is in effect from 1 am to
11 am EDT Wednesday.

South winds will continue to push water up the Chesapeake Bay and
its estuaries overnight. This combined with a new moon which
brings also brings higher tides... and this next high tide being
the higher of the two daily high tides... will allow for minor tidal
flooding of the most prone areas during Wednesday mornings high
tide.

Here are the times of the next high tide for a few locations from
north to south...

On the Chesapeake Bay...
Havre de Grace... 10:05 am...
Bowley Bar... 7:43 am...
Fort McHenry Baltimore... 6:52 am...
Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy... 5:22 am...
Chesapeake Beach... 4:05 am...
Solomons Island... 2:14 am...
Point Lookout... 1:24 am...

Now along the Potomac River...
Washington Channel... 8:17 am...
Alexandria... 8:35 am...
Indian Head... 8:03 am...
Aquia creek... 6:49 am...
Goose Bay... 4:09 am...
Coltons Point... 2:59 am.

This coastal Flood Advisory indicates that high tide will
generate minor flooding of the most prone low lying areas along

Fire Weather Watch

... Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from 10 am EDT this
morning through this afternoon...

A Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from 10 am EDT this
morning through this afternoon.

A cold front will move through the mid-Atlantic region late
tonight into Wednesday. Behind the front... westerly winds will
increase between 15 and 20 mph while relative humidity values
decrease to 25 to 30 percent in the afternoon. These conditions
occurring over an area with very low fuel moisture will produce a
favorable environment for the spread of fires as the area remains
very dry.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
red flag warnings.
